Firehouse will be journeying to Guatemala again this year during Spring Break. We will be partnering with a ministry called Hope of Life, or in Spanish “Esperanza De Vida”, to minister and bring the Good News of Jesus to the people of Guatemala.
 
During this trip, students will have the opportunity to serve in an orphanage, elderly home, local elementary schools, local churches and villages.

In order to sign up for this trip, you must have filled out the online application, have turned in a notarized medical release form to the main FBCMI church office, turned in a notarized Hope of Life Volunteer Form, and submitted the first deposit of $100 by SEPTEMBER 6, 2024. • Wednesday, October 2nd: $400 due
• Wednesday, November 4th: $400 due
• Wednesday, December 4th: $400 due
• Wednesday, January 8th: $150 due
• total: $1,450 due (total can vary based on airfare)

ALL PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. If you do not pay for your total trip cost, you will not be allowed to participate. Please notify us ASAP of any financial questions/issues!

Multiple BBQ lunch fundraisers are held after church at FBCMI on Sundays that students can help serve food and run the event to earn money for their trip. There are sign ups for this on our website usually posted 2 weeks before each BBQ. Check out our “Help A Student” link for the sign up form as it posts.
 
Rent a student is for students to be connected with church members at FBCMI who need help in their yards or around their homes and are willing to help students earn money for missions in exchange. Prayer / Support Letters are encouraged for each student. We ask them to write and mail letters to family and friends, letting them know about their trip and asking them to pray for them and if possible to financially support them as they raise money to go serve Jesus and the poor and hurting of Guatemala. Copies of sample prayer letters will be provided to team members at our first meeting.
